This New Jersey Brewery Makes Frosted Flakes Beer And You’ll Want It For Breakfast

@magnifybrewing

Your favorite sugary cereal comes in beer form and you’ll probably want it with your pancakes. Frosted Flakes is a new DIPA (double IPA) with an ABV of 8 percent. The dry-hopped beer is brewed with a bunch of oats, vanilla and lactose to taste like a bowl of your childhood memories. Frosted Flakes is brewed by Magnify Brewing Company in Fairfield, New Jersey.

The Breakfast Double IPA is gold, light and hazy with notes of vanilla, citrus and pine. You’ll notice a sweet lactose aroma and a faint lingering Frosted Flakes-like taste. The body isn’t too thick and it’s on the hoppy side. The branding alone is pretty cool if you’re a fan of the sugary breakfast cereal. Frosted Flakes is dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo hops. It’s $20 per pack, with four in each pack.

Magnify Brewing Company makes four core beers, year-round, including Vine Shine IPA, Search Saison, Pale Ale and Black Wheat Ale. The brewery also experiments with different kinds of innovative beers and ingredient combinations every four to six weeks. If you’re passing through northern New Jersey, there’s also a tasting room where you can try out the newest flavors on deck.
