Freek’s Mill Has An Expertly Curated Menu, Showing Off Many Talents

[tw-divider]The Scoop[/tw-divider]

  • The restaurant is named for a mill that was located on what is today the corner of Union and Nevins Streets (the restaurant itself is located on Nevins at the corner of Sackett). At the time, the Gowanus Canal was full of oysters that became an early export to Europe
  • There’s not a single boring thing on the menu. Octopus, pappardelle, roasted pork jowl, dry-aged duck, and chicken and biscuits all make an appearance. At brunch, there’s scrapple and red eye gravy
  • The brief cocktail list is complemented by a huge list of wine and spirits from New York and far beyond. Reservations can be made directly on the Freek’s Mill website or through Resy.
