A lot can happen in a week and we’re here to make sure you don’t miss a beat. In the world of food news, it seems like there’s a new sweet invention happening every other day and there’s always someone innovating up a storm as the seasons change. Here’s what you missed in edible news this week.

Chick-fil-A is testing mac and cheese on menus around the country. Surprisingly enough, the southern-based fast food chain has all of the fried chicken, biscuits and sweet tea, but until now, none of the mac and cheese. The fried chicken chain is finally testing the creamy pasta side in select states before rolling it out nationwide.

You can find mac and cheese on the menu if you’re in Phoenix, Arizona; Greensboro, North Carolina; San Antonio, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Baltimore, Maryland or Houston, Texas. [Delish]

Starbucks has a spooky new Frappuccino called Witch’s Brew and it tastes like a creamsicle. It’s only fitting that Starbucks would have a themed frozen drink for Halloween. The Witch’s Brew Frappuccino has purple layers of “toad’s breath” that’s made with an orange crème Frappuccino and swirls of green “bat warts” (made with chia seeds). There’s vanilla whipped cream on top and a dusting of “lizard scales,” AKA green powder, to top off the drink. The Halloween-themed blended drink will remind you of a creamsicle, but it’s exponentially creepier looking. [Delish]

By 2021, Uber plans to deliver burgers via drones and it’s hella ambitious. It’s safe to say that a lot of us are still wrapping our brains around drone delivery in the first place, but Uber is looking to push the boundaries of food delivery by having drones bring burgers right to our doorsteps. The drone food delivery program will be known as UberExpress and the hopes are to have this program running under the UberEats brand in a few markets by 2021. If this is a solution for cold delivery food, count us in.  [USA Today]
