An Abandoned Shipwreck In Sydney Is Now A Gorgeously Spooky Floating Forest

@paulmp

Nature has completely taken back this crumbling shipwreck in Australia.

Homebush Bay in Sydney is home to the next eerie abandoned spot you’re going to want to stalk on Instagram. The Floating Forest is an abandoned army boat that has become a thriving natural forest in the middle of the water. And it’s stunning.

For 30 years, trees have been taking over the boat.

The ship is now filled with mangrove trees, creating a lush, beautiful garden.

The ship’s official name is the SS Aryfield.

The Aryfield carried supplies from Australia to U.S. troops in the South Pacific during World War II.

It was abandoned in 1972.

The bay is actually home to multiple decommissioned shipwrecks.

The Aryfield is more than 100 years old.

That’s right, it’s a centuries-old abandoned photo gem.

You’re going to have the most killer pics from your visit, so don’t miss it when in Sydney!
