Health Tip of the Day: Fire up your core, define your obliques and strengthen your chest muscles with T Pushups.
Why They Work: If you’re looking for an exercise that targets your shoulders, chest, arms, abs, obliques and thighs all in one — look no further than T pushups. This pushup variation is great for strengthening your core and defining your obliques, while also sculpting your upper body like regular pushups. The best part about this exercise is that you don’t need to go to the gym to do it because it doesn’t require any equipment. If doing pushups directly on the floor doesn’t suit your fancy go ahead and use yoga a mat.
How To Do Them: Perform a pushup. As you come up, rotate your body so that you go right into a side plank. Hold the side plank for just a second before returning for another pushup, finishing in a side plank on the opposite side. Go back and forth alternating pushups and side planks until you’ve completed eight planks on each side. Repeat for three sets. [Swirled]
