Italian Company Unveils An iPhone Case That Makes Espresso

Coffee lovers, you’re about to meet your match. Just how obsessed are you with getting your caffeine fix? Get ready to meet Mokase, the first-ever espresso iPhone case, which is in development.

Oh no, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. The phone case actually pours espresso. A Naples-based company in Italy is in the process of designing the first prototype of the phone with only one goal in mind: to be able to have espresso anywhere, at any time.

The Culture Trip reports that the technology works, apparently, very simply: you insert a wafer into the phone case and press a button. The phone case will pour out a small amount of espresso. The wafer is filled with coffee that is heated up using a silicon aluminum tube.

The case itself is only .27 inches thick and is waterproof, so already we’re sold on it. But making espresso? That’s taking multi-functioning technology to an entirely new level.

You can’t buy the iPhone case just yet — the company launched a Kickstarter campaign that has been suspended just until the creators can come up with a seamless prototype. In all honesty, we’d rather wait for a well-tested case than get our hands on something that overheats and explodes.

We’ll believe it when we see it, Mokase, but we certainly hope to see it!
