Disneyland Is Making Dreams Come True With A Real-Life Pizza Planet From ‘Toy Story’
Disneyland is making your childhood fantasies a reality and bringing the “Toy Story” Pizza Planet to Earth. Starting in April, Disney will turn an outdated pizza restaurant, Red Rockett’s Pizza Port, into the space-themed arcade restaurant from the iconic Pixar film.
Despite Disneyland opening a Toy Story Land in 2018, Pizza Planet will be located in Tomorrowland. According to Disney News Today, it’ll be called “Alien’s Pizza Planet — A Better Place.” This tagline is based on where the Little Green Men think they’re headed after they’re chosen by “the claw,” in the original film.
If you forgot about Pizza Planet, it’s the outer space-themed restaurant and arcade where Woody and Buzz Lightyear attempt to find Andy after they were left behind at the Dinoco gas station.
Woody sees a Pizza Planet delivery truck pulling into the gas station, and both Woody and Buzz hitch a ride to the pizza arcade. At Pizza Planet, the aliens are ruled by “the claw.”
While you’re waiting for this futuristic pizza joint to open, rewatch “Toy Story” for all the nostalgic memories. Get excited, people!
