There’s a new kind of box coming to the world of CrossFit, and it’s loaded with hunks of grass-fed meat.

That’s right, the folks behind the cultish fitness empire are getting in on the meal kit craze by pairing up with high-quality meat provider Strauss Brands and creating a subscription box of their own. The appropriately named Crossfit® Box includes almost 14 pounds of grass-fed, agriculturally sustainable meat for a whopping $215.

Curious about the breakdown of what’s inside? We were, too. It includes:

  • 5 12-ounce packages of all-natural, cage-free chicken breasts
  • 3 pounds of grass-fed ground beef
  • 4 5-ounce grass-fed tenderloin filets
  • 4 10-ounce grass-fed ribeye steaks
  • 4 10-ounce grass-fed strip steaks
  • 2 6-ounce grass-fed sirloin steaks
  • 1 package of grass-fed beef sticks

Are you thinking what we’re thinking? That’s a lot of animals to eat in a month. But CrossFit COO Bruce Edwards disagrees.

“Our community believes athletes must take a 360-degree approach to a healthy lifestyle,” he said in a statement. “Due to the physical intensity of our workouts, a critical component of a complementary diet is protein—it provides energy and fuels performance.”

Depending on whether you want to shell out for the box every month or space it out by two or three months, you can stick the bulk of the meat in the freezer and it’ll keep for a while. Or you can proceed with a truly carnivorous diet so you can crank out all those crazy reps in your WOD, bro. Your call.
