This Luxury Hotel Room Is Suspended In The Air

We’d like to think we’ve seen it all when it comes to unconventional hotels, but there’s a new one that may leave your opinion up in the air. Literally. The Crane Hotel Faralda is exactly how it sounds: it’s a hotel suspended from a crane high above the ground. How high exactly? At the very lowest point, 114 feet.

This is the Netherlands’ second crane hotel. The first is located in Amsterdam and invites guests to bungee jump off the crane. Seriously. This new one is about an hour from the center of the country’s capital. What makes the Crane Hotel Faralda special is that you can book one of three luxury suites as high as 147 feet in the air.

The lowest suite, Free Spirit, sits at 114 feet and includes high-design furniture and a free-standing tub. The second highest suite, Secret, is 130 feet in the air and features a split-level studio with a copper bath. And of course, the best for last: Mystique is the highest suite at 147 feet and is decorated with old ocean cruiser parts with an open-air hot tub. Yes, swoon.

Goodmorning Amsterdam! #cranehotelfaralda

The crane moves when it’s windy, so anyone with motion sickness should bring a liberal amount of meds, or, you know, just not stay in a swaying hotel high up in the air.

The hotel is $464 a night to start, and you can expect some unbelievable views.
