Cookie Fries Are The Food Mashup We’ve Been Missing All Our Lives

@gnazzogroup

We’re addicted to cookies. We love them so much that we’ll take them in any form, including…fries. And guess what —cookie fries are a thing, and we cannot contain our joy.

These babies were born when The Cookie Joint, a national specialty cookie company, started shaping cookies into crinkle cuts and experimenting with different flavors. At first glance, they really look like real fries. The Chicago-based company pairs them with a variety of sauces like chocolate and caramel. They’re so popular that they even made Oprah Magazine’s O List in September 2014, so yeah, they literally changed the world.

Soon after their debut, cookie fries were spotted at State Fair Treats at the State Fair of Texas. State Fair Treats’ owner Issac Rousso fried up crinkle-cut cookies and served them with strawberry or milk chocolate sauce.

Though State Fair Treats recently closed, the trend continued to spread to restaurants and bloggers nationwide. Suddenly, cookie fries were, and are, everywhere.

The best part: though we’re sure they’re delicious at any fair or Cookie Joint location, you can actually make them yourself! Popsugar tried their hand at the treat, and we have to admit it looks damn tasty.

It’s just a matter of time before they take over the world. We are convinced.
