Kellogg’s Is Releasing Chocolate Frosted Flakes And We’re Living For It

We don’t know about you, but the highlight of our childhoods was getting up early on a Saturday morning and watching cartoons with a big bowl of sugary cereal in hand. If we’re gonna get specific, Frosted Flakes cereal was definitely a part of this childhood memory. Well, now we’re reliving our sweet nostalgia, but in a different way. Kellogg’s is making chocolate-flavored Frosted Flakes, and we’re screaming.
Kellogg’s said in a statement that the new Frosted Flakes will be on shelves nationwide this month and they’ll be sticking around indefinitely. Since Kellogg’s hasn’t released a new Frosted Flakes flavor in quite some time, the brand involved consumers in every step of the development process, including testing different types of cocoa flakes in different types of milk.
“We stay close to our fans to make sure we are delivering the cereal experiences they want most, which is what resulted in the delicious flavor of Cinnamon Frosted Flakes launched last year,” said Brad Schwan, Kellogg’s senior director of morning food marketing. “So, when we found out chocolate was the next most requested flavor, we set to work right away.”
Boxes are selling at different prices depending on where you go, but you can expect to pay between $4.69 and $5.79.
If you’re a chocolate fanatic who wants a total blast to the past, pick up a box of the new Chocolate Frosted Flakes. We can only imagine how good they are, considering the OG was one of our faves. This is very cliché, but we can’t help it: Kellogg’s, your idea is so GR-R-EAT!
