The World’s Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge Offers Breathtaking Views

@fuxxey

Can you imagine traveling all the way to Europe just to walk across one bridge? Well, now you can. Switzerland just opened the Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge, which officially ranks as the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world.

The Points Guy reports that the bridge, which is 1,621 feet long and stands at 279 feet high, offers the best views of Switzerland’s Grabengufer Valley, as well as the Bernese Alps. It really is a sight for sore eyes.

In case you can’t tell, this bridge really is only meant for the courageous (and those who aren’t afraid of heights). The narrow passage doesn’t give you too much room to move, and the bridge slopes down so that hikers can see the valley below.

If you’re hiking across the valley, it’ll take you 10 minutes to cross the bridge, as opposed to taking a three- or four-hour trek.

We’d love to walk across the bridge. The views are out of this world, and the adrenaline rush is sure to be amazing. Do you have the guts to do it?
