Imagine a road trip that’s filled with nothing but spicy stop after spicy stop. If you’re a Buffalo-style person, you’ll want to drop everything and hit the “Buffalo Wing Trail” in Western New York. It’ll be the spicy drive of your dreams.

The Buffalo Wing Trail, organized by the tourism board Visit Buffalo Niagra, includes 12 must-visit Buffalo wing spots throughout the Western New York area. You can work your way from wing to wing, driving from Hamburg to Getzville, New York. You can kick off this saucy trail at the Anchor Bar — home to the original Buffalo wing.

The Buffalo Wing Trail features Elmo’s Bar and Restaurant, Duff’s Famous Wings, Glen Park Tavern, Cole’s, Anchor Bar, Lenox Grill, Gabriel’s Gate, Gene McCarthy’s Old First Ward Brewing Company, Blackthorn Restaurant and Pub, Doc Sullivan’s, Bar Bill Tavern and Mammoser’s Tavern and Restaurant.

Each one of these 12 pubs along the trail has its own history and character that lend to its own Buffalo wing recipe. Get your milk and wet naps ready, you’re in for the spiciest ride of your life.
