Whiskey fiends, we know you’re serious about your rye, bourbon or scotch. Let’s take your love of the spirit to another level and find you a vacation that packs a punch. These four destinations are known for incredible whiskey — and the views don’t hurt.

1. Strathspey, Scotland

Home to 84 whiskey distilleries, including famous brands like Glenlivet and The Macallan, Strathspey is the perfect place to start for the true whiskey lover. Head to Speyside, where you can try whiskeys from all of the distilleries. Note that most of these distilleries’ whiskeys are light single malts, so if you’re the bourbon type, this might not be a good fit for you.

2. Waco, Texas, U.S.

Not only the home of “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, Waco is also home to Balcones Distilling. The distillery, which is fairly new, has already raked in over 140 awards for its range of whiskeys. You can tour the distillery for $10 and participate in tastings.

3. Dublin, Ireland

Dublin may already be known for its famous Guinness Brewery tours, but did you know its Old Jameson Distillery is an incredible spot for whiskey experiences? The distillery gives tours starting bright and early at 9:30 a.m. and covers the basics, like the difference between an Irish whiskey and a Scotch whiskey, and gives you a number of samples. After the tour, you’re free to have lunch on site with a glass of your favorite.

4. Versailles, Kentucky, U.S.

Kentucky rounds out the list specifically for its bourbon. The Woodford Reserve Distillery, in particular, dates all the way back to 1838. The tours, which cost $14 a person, cover the making of bourbon, the bottling process and, of course, a tasting. Bourbonites, you have to check out this distillery.
