Veggie tots make perfect appetizers and snacks, and you don’t need a lot of ingredients to make them. Just to prove how versatile tots can be, here are seven veggies that you can turn into adorable bite-sized snacks. Mix up a creamy dipping sauce to go with them and you’ll be good to go.
1. Butternut Squash
If you can shred it, you can make it into a veggie tot. Butternut squash can easily be shredded up and formed into tot shape. Here’s a recipe for butternut squash tots that involves squash, panko breadcrumbs and egg. You can pair your butternut squash tots with a refreshing Sriracha yogurt dipping sauce, sage aioli or avocado dipping sauce.
2. Sweet Potato
There aren’t too many things more comforting than a bowl of sweet potato tots. These tots are made with rosemary and sea salt. Try a creamy maple Greek yogurt dipping sauce or a garlic aioli. A creamy Sriracha yogurt sauce would also be just as good here. You could also try these crispy baked sweet potato tots with a maple cinnamon yogurt dip.
