These 5 Craft Beers Are Perfect For Summer

@wagz_n

Summer is almost upon us, which means we can look forward to beach trips, sunbathing and drinking something refreshing. The five craft beers below are the perfect way to cool down during those hot days, and they’re even designed to refresh you. Give them a try, and you may find your new favorite summer go-to.

1. Six Point Jammer

This brew is made Gose-style, which is an old beer-making technique in which brewers use salinated water to make beer slightly salty and savory. You’ll taste a bit of sea salt in this beer, as well as lots of refreshing citrus, making it a perfect beach pick.

2. Victory Helios Ale

Victory Helios, which is a Farmhouse ale, has 7.5 percent ABV. Though it would make sense to think the beer is too heavy for a summer day, the ale has a lemon peppery taste that makes for a great thirst quencher. What’s better: it comes in a bomber bottle, so it’s meant for sharing. Bring one to a cookout and you’re guaranteed to be the favorite guest.

3. Creature Comforts Tropicalia

This IPA is packed with fruity flavor, making it a must-have on a summer getaway trip. The taste matches the name with tropical and juicy notes, but it’s not too sweet. The beer is hoppy and tastes slightly bitter at the end of a swig, so you won’t be overpowered by sweetness.

4. Susquehanna Brewing Co. Shady Spot Lemon Shandy

A post shared by Nick Wagner (@wagz_n) on

This Pennsylvania-based shandy is light and refreshing, as most shandies are. But what makes the beer truly special is that it’s very reminiscent of lemonade and harnesses an authentically citrus-ey taste on the palate. You’ll think you mixed your favorite beer with your mom’s homemade lemonade without it losing all that yummy fizz.

5. Dogfish Head Festina Peche

Dogfish Head is known for its refreshing brews, but this particular Berliner will cool you off in the hot weather. It’s a German wheat beer with a sour kick while staying balanced with a tart, peachy aftertaste. We honestly can’t think of anything more delicious.

Try one of these beers this summer and let us know what you think. We know we’re grabbing a pack or two.
