These Economy Flight Perks Make Cheap Seats Feel Like First Class

You don’t have to be cramped, hungry and sad on an economy flight. Believe it or not, there are airplanes where your affordable ticket can feel almost like first class. While Delta will give you wine or beer for free on an international flight and Lufthansa might pass you an extra movie snack, the airlines below go above and beyond.

Singapore Air

Singapore’s got you covered as far as toiletries go. The airline provides toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, moisturizer, cologne and aftershave – and even extra packs of socks. If you’re feeling bored after you’re all cleaned up, you can ask for a deck of playing cards to fill the time.

Sri Lankan Airlines

Sri Lankan Airlines does not want you to be dehydrated on your flight. You’re given refreshments every 45 minutes. No more wishing for another tiny cup of water with two hours left on your trip.

Japan Airlines

Feeling a foot cramp from sitting too long? Japan airlines has bamboo massage sticks for just that ailment, as well as analgesics, motion sickness medicine, rhinitis relief spray, abrasion healing spray, bandages and thermometers in case anything else goes wrong with your health. For the average in-flight comforts, passengers are given toothbrushes, earplugs and eye masks.

AirFrance

Air France is just so French. In-flight meals start with a cocktail (yes, you can get alcohol in it) and snacks. The champagne and wine selection were picked by one of the world’s top-ranked sommeliers. After you eat, you’re treated to a coffee, tea or digestif (another boozy treat).

Emirates

Ah Emirates, if only every airline could be like you. There’s WiFi and phone service, meaning you can Instagram your destination-themed meal or even call your mom over a glass of complimentary wine (or beer). Phone dying? Of course, there’s a plug nearby.
