Weekend Edition

1. Workout of the Week: Double Crunches

You can get a great workout by using just your body weight, and what better way to start than with double crunches? Lie on your back with your knees bent, feet on your mat and hands behind your head with your elbows reaching wide. As you exhale, simultaneously lift your knees toward your center and your upper body toward your knees, forming a little ball in the middle of the crunch. As you inhale, lower down to the starting position to complete one rep. Repeat 15 times. [Swirled]

2. Life Hack Of The Day: Gift Card Edition

Fold the receipt around your gift card so you always know the balance.

3. What To Watch: “You”

“You” may be about a guy stalking a girl in New York City, but listen to us when we say it’s good. Bookstore manager Joe falls hard for Beck as soon as he sees her. Told through his point of view, the story reveals to us that he’s smart and different — like stalker different. On the outside, Joe seems normal, but deep down, he’s mentally unstable. Will Beck ever see through his nice guy persona? [Netflix]

4. What to Read: “Disrupters: Success Strategies From Women Who Broke the Mold” by Dr. Patti Fletcher

When it comes to having a satisfying career, following a linear path isn’t necessarily the answer. In her groundbreaking book on successful women, Patti Fletcher shows you the best ways to thrive. [Amazon]

5. App Of The Week: Digit

If you’re trying to save money constantly, Digit is about to become your new best friend. The app claims to save you the perfect amount of money every day. Plus, it’s free for the first 30 days, and it’s free to download for both iOS and Android users. [Swirled]

6. R&R: Olive Oil Lip Balm

Especially during the winter, we have to think about our lips. It seems like beauty products get more expensive by the day and a tub of good quality lip balm can run you a pretty penny. So instead, smear a little bit of olive oil on your lips whenever they start to feel dry. You can even give your lips a little hydration with this kitchen staple before bed. [Swirled]

7. What to Eat: Raspberry Crumble Bars

If you’re celebrating a late Galentine’s day with your girls, make raspberry crumble bars. The bars are made with fresh raspberries, jam and sweet peaches sandwiched in between two layers of buttery, cinnamon oat crumble. They basically melt in your mouth! [Swirled]

8. What To Buy: SPANX Women’s Sheer Fashion Mesh Bodysuit

Layer up in the cutest way with a sheer bodysuit from SPANX. You can hide it under your day clothes and be ready for a night out in a snap! [Amazon]

9. Dream Destination: Cappadocia, Turkey

Cappadocia, Turkey should be the next trip on your wishlist for its unique rock formations and romantic hot air balloon rides. Imagine a stark, desert landscape with colorful hot air balloons dotting the horizon. No, it’s not a fairy tale (although there are fairy towers) — it’s very real and you can go there. [Swirled]

10. Wild Card: Here Are 7 Foods In Your Pantry That Double As Beauty Products

Leave that boxed teeth whitener at the store and head for your kitchen instead. Mixing turmeric and coconut oil could be the natural way to get your pearly whites shining, thanks to turmeric’s antibacterial properties and coconut oil’s ability to reduce plaque. [Swirled]
