The Best Ice Cream You’ll Ever Eat Isn’t Ice Cream At All
We know that it’s fairly ballsy to say we’ve got the best banana ice cream recipe ever, especially because no ice cream maker is needed to make it and there’s no added sugar or dairy. Dare we still claim its goodness? Yes, friends, we can, because it truly is that good. Oh, and you probably have all the ingredients in your kitchen right now.
How To Make The Best Banana Ice Cream:
Ingredients
- 4 large bananas, sliced into 1⁄4”-thick rounds
- 1/2 cup raw peanut or almond butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp. coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- pinch of salt
Instructions
Place banana slices, side by side, in a large Ziploc bag, making sure that no rounds are on top of each other. Freeze overnight.
Take banana slices out of the freezer and place into a blender or food processor. Add peanut or almond butter, cocoa powder, coconut oil, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and blend until creamy. Eat immediately if you prefer a soft-serve consistency or freeze for a few more hours for a harder consistency.
Bonus: Make your own chocolate shell with just two ingredients.
If you have some chocolate chips on hand, melt a handful with a teaspoon of coconut oil and mix until creamy. Pour over ice cream and wait approximately one minute. Boom: chocolate shell.
Yep, it’s that easy. Enjoy!
