It feels like it’s been decades since avocado toast became popular, but we are still living for it. That said, we can admit the trend itself is a little worn. There are only so many ways to dress up a slice of toast, you know? Thankfully a new trend is underway. Meet avocado pizza.

It’s a pretty simple concept. Essentially, you get some pizza dough, bake it, then add a bunch of avocado slices and throw on your favorite toppings. If you see avocado pizza on a restaurant’s menu, you can expect a fairly plain pizza with the main focus on — of course — avocado.

If the trend seems a little too basic for you, you probably didn’t like avocado toast either. That’s fine — you have every right to hate. But if you have any love for avocado and pizza, you’re probably going to spiritually benefit from this delicious gift from the universe.

Alright, that’s a little dramatic, but we’re all for new avocado dishes. We can’t be sure how long this trend will last, but we’ll enjoy it while we can.
