Only The Fearless Can Handle The Longest Tunnel Slide In The World

Do you consider yourself a serious thrill seeker? If so, you have no choice, but to head to London and plunge down the longest tunnel slide in the world. Say hello to the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower, the most insane ride we have ever seen.

The tower, which is located in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, is 242 feet high and 584 feet long. The artist behind the ride, Carsten Höller, told CNN that he designed the tower as a response to Anish Kapoor‘s Orbit, which was designed for the 2012 Olympics. It was 377 feet long.

It takes the average rider 40 seconds from start to finish to sail down the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower at 15 miles per hour. It’s not the speed that makes the ride so extreme — it’s the twists and turns.

The ride is comprised of 30 parts, including 12 turns and a tight corkscrew twist.

The attraction is set to open on June 24 and will cost £15 ($22) for a turn down the slide, as well as complimentary views from the Orbit’s viewing platform.

Sounds like a daredevil’s dream, so if you’re into this sort of thing, you have to try it out.
