Will the next Keurig you buy be a home-brewing kit? That’s what the K-Cup maker, in a partnership with Anheuser-Busch InBev, is betting on for its next machine — a kitchen appliance capable of making “beers, spirits, cocktails, and mixers.” Anheuser-Busch’ brands include Bud Light, Busch, Goose Island, King Cobra, Kirin, Shock Top, and Stella Artois.

A prototype does not exist as Keurig and AB InBev are still in the process of researching the machine, but it is expected to utilize the technology from Keurig Kold, a competitor to SodaStream that ultimately got the ax. A home-brewing system from SodaStream, the Beer Bar, was introduced to European markets in May 2016, and distribution will expand to more countries throughout 2017.
