Amazon’s ‘Prime Day’ Will Offer Pretty Legit Discounts At Whole Foods

Amazon Prime created a special holiday and Whole Foods shoppers have a reason to get excited. Prime Day, a 36-hour event, will take place on July 16. Amazon Prime members will be offered substantial discounts to spend on Whole Foods groceries and more.

Members have from July 11 to July 16 (Prime Day) to spend $10 at Whole Foods in order to earn a $10 credit to spend on Amazon on Prime Day. Other discounts include a $20 discount for Prime members who use Whole Foods’ delivery service for the first time. Between July 11 and July 17, Prime members will also get substantial discounts on a mixed bag of groceries.

Inside the bag you’ll find items like a one-pound container of organic strawberries (two for $5), boneless chicken breasts ($3.99 per pound), IcelandicĀ cod fillets ($8.99 per pound), MegaFood vitamins and supplements (30 percent off), RXBar Protein Bars (two for $3), Honey Nut Cheerios (buy-one-get-one-free) and 12-packs of Waterloo sparkling water (two for $7.)

This isn’t the first round of discounts that Amazon Prime members have enjoyed at Whole Foods. It looks like the Amazon and Whole Foods partnership is standing firm with itsĀ goal of shedding the grocery chain’s expensive image. We’re definitely not complaining.
