This $13 Gin From ALDI Was Named One Of The Best In The World

@waynecolvmace

Gin lovers, you’re not gonna know how to thank us for the news we’re about to drop on you. ALDI’s Oliver Cromwell London Dry Gin received a gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. It is now ranked as one of the best gins in the world. The best part? The ALDI gin is only $13.

The Daily Mail reports that the gin not only won the prestigious award, but it beat out other gins that were priced four times more. Oliver Cromwell, which retails at £9.97 (roughly $13) in the U.K., beat out premium competitors like Foxhole London Dry Gin, which is priced at £39.95 (roughly $53).

After a blind taste test at the competition, the German-owned supermarket ALDI won 20 awards in total, including the Supermarket Own Brand Spirits Range Of The Year.

You can purchase the gin at any ALDI store both in the U.K. and in the U.S. We’re making a special trip and stocking up. Gin and tonic time!
