Weed-Infused Coffee Pods Are Now A Thing
It’s official: weed and coffee have been combined into one product to offer up the most enlightened morning joe experience. Everyone say hey to the newest item to hit dispensaries: weed-infused coffee pods.
Grubstreet reports that a company called Cannabiniers created the pods, which fit into any Keurig machine and also come in tea and cocoa flavors. The pods, called BrewBudz, include various amounts of cannabis depending on how hard you want to go — from 10 milligrams, which is a normal dose, all the way up to 50 milligrams per pod.
If you want to drink weed without the caffeine, BrewBudz has a decaf option that is specifically designed to help you relax and sleep.
The company uses flower instead of oil in its pods, which means you won’t get any gross residue floating in your beverage. Bonus: according to the company’s website, every pod is 100 percent compostable.
The pods don’t exactly come cheap at $7 a pop, but you’re guaranteed an experience like no other. Unfortunately, they’re only currently sold in Nevada dispensaries with Colorado and California apparently up next. We’re hopeful that the pods will make their way over to the east coast.
