Everyone has a bucket list packed with dream destinations. And whether you’re planning a trip now or years down the road, it’s important to know when to fly so that you get the best airfare possible. Who knows, you may even find that you can swing that life-changing trip sooner than you think.

CheapFlights.com compiled a list of 15 iconic places and the cheapest times to fly to them.  We’d love to visit any of these destinations, and who doesn’t want to save money when traveling? Here’s when it’s best to get up and go.

1. Machu Picchu (Cusco, Peru): You’ll find the lowest average airfare during the last two weeks of August.

2. Hawaii (multiple destinations): Look at October for the best airfare to Hilo. The fall timing is also ripe for Kona, as well as April and early May. Mid-January through February is the time to hit Honolulu.

3. Northern Lights (Reykjavik, Iceland): The second half of January is the time to go and you’ll have good chances of seeing the magnificent northern lights.

4. Grand Canyon (multiple destinations): If you’re flying into Las Vegas, late January is a prime time, as well as the end of November and the beginning of December. If you’re flying into Phoenix, look to late November and early December.

5. Rome, Italy: The first week of May is prime time.

6. Old Faithful (Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, U.S.): If you fly into Bozeman, Montana, the middle-to-end of October is the time to go. The later in the month, the better.

7. Bali, Indonesia: Want the best price? Eye mid-September.

8. Caribbean Cruises (multiple destinations): Plan to start your cruise in Miami or San Juan, Puerto Rico. You’ll find the best airfare to Miami between mid-January and early February. October is the time to go if you’re hitting San Juan.

9. San Francisco, California U.S.: The end of January through mid-February is the best window to fly.

10. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Target August and early-t0-mid September.

11. New York City, New York, U.S.: Late January and early February are great times to book if you want a last-minute getaway. If you’re planning to book further out, the holiday season should be on your radar.

12. Paris, France: The third week of January sees the best deals. May also sees good prices if you want warmer weather.

13. London, England: You’ll find the best deals in January and February.

14. Pacific Coast Highway (multiple destinations): Flying into San Diego or Los Angeles? Target the last week of October. If you’re going via San Francisco, late September or early October is the time to go.

15. Bangkok, Thailand: You’ll find the best deals for traveling in the first three weeks of November.
