Avocado Lattes Were Created As A Joke And The World Burst Into Flames

Hey avocado lovers, you know we’re with you on the avo love. And believe us when we say we would not stand for a latte poured into an actual avocado. But avocado lattes are now making waves as a new supposed “trend,” and we’re here to set the record straight.

The Huffington Post reports that an Australian Cafe, Truman Cafe, started pouring lattes into avocado halves as a joke. But the plot twist: no one got the joke, and everyone was alarmed.

Not only that, but other cafes started making avocado lattes, too. Some of them thought it was actually a legit thing.

What happened next was pure chaos. Latte and avocado lovers alike took to Twitter to either praise the idea as the best thing since sliced bread or to call the creation totally unfit for consumption. The barista who started the craze told News.com.au that the creation was taken way too far.

“It was actually just a joke,” he said. “We weren’t actually selling them but then someone came in today and wanted one. I think it’s ridiculous. It’s literally coffee in a piece of rubbish.”
