Dessert is delicious, but Stephen McCarty is proving that it can be truly beautiful too. The Los Angeles–based baker creates vegan cheesecakes from all natural ingredients that are truly works of art.
McCarty told Bon Appetite, “When someone comes upon what I’m doing now and they’re like, ‘How do you do that,’ I’m like, ‘Well, you work for a long time at it, and that’s really the only way.’ I can tell them exactly what ingredients go into each color, and they’re all totally natural and available at Whole Foods or a large health food store, but the exact scale and combination, that’s what takes some doing.”
