Waze Carpool Is Now Available In All 50 States
If you’re not already using Waze Carpool, you must love sitting in traffic or spending money on gas. And if you haven’t been using it because it hasn’t been available in your area, then you’re in luck.
On October 10, 2018, Waze Carpool announced that it’s now available in all 50 states in the U.S. Waze Carpool is the app that tells drivers and riders when someone is traveling in the same direction. Both can then meet up and travel together to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
Available for both Apple and Android users, Waze Carpool has two sides. You can opt into being a driver or a rider, or both, by downloading both apps. Then you can select the people in your network with whom you want to carpool based on their profiles, ratings, connections (like a coworker) and more. You can even select people who are of the same gender. All you need to do is open the app and see who within your contacts is on the same route as you.
Carpooling is a great way to not only reduce air pollution and traffic, but also save you money. By carpooling, you’ll be able to reduce the amount of money you spend on fueling up your vehicle. Plus, you can lower your car insurance rate since you won’t be driving as many miles per year anymore. Lastly, it could save you time at work because you could take meetings in the car with coworkers, which is a great way to spend your commute time!
If you’re pumped about Waze Carpool, let your employer know and potentially even get a month of free rides for your entire company. If you’re a driver, hook up Waze to your car’s navigation system to make it even easier to pick up people.
