4 Things That Are Never Worth The Space In Your Suitcase
It’s time to lighten up that packing list — you don’t need nearly as much as you think you do. Minimalist travel is the only way to go, so here’s a quick rundown on what not to pack in your suitcase on your next trip.
1. Full-Sized Toiletries
If you’re staying in a hotel, you probably don’t need any shampoo, conditioner or body wash. Many Airbnbs also offer little bottles of the basics. Save the space in your suitcase for your specialty products, like your favorite face wash or moisturizer.
2. An Entire Outfit For Each Day
Not on the capsule wardrobe train yet? Get on board. Choosing pieces of clothing that can work in several different outfits will cut down significantly on the amount you have to bring. Fitting an entire weekend’s worth of cute looks in a carry-on just got so much easier.
3. A Hairdryer
Unless you’re camping, it’s likely wherever you’re staying will have a hairdryer. Hotels and hostels have you covered, but you might want to ask your Airbnb host before you pack, you know, just in case.
4. Multiple Screens
We know you’re bringing your phone, but do you also need both the laptop and the iPad? If you’re traveling for business, sure, take it all. However, if this is your vacation, consider cutting down on screen time to actually enjoy your new surroundings.
