Pregame for the holidays with single malt Scotch and a little something sweet this Thursday, December 15 at the Whiskey Ward on Essex Street.

Brought to you by The Balvenie and Whisky Wisemen NYC, this evening of cupcakes and whisky (spelled whisky when produced in Scotland, Canada, and Japan; and whiskey when produced in the US or Ireland, mostly for reasons of cultural pride) will feature a full flight tasting sample of The Balvenie’s core range (12-Year, 17-Year, and 21-Year), plus a full dram of the 14-Year-Old Caribbean Cask with a cupcake pairing provided by The Cocktail Parlor. The cupcakes themselves will also be made using The Balvenie’s 14-Year-Old whisky.

The holiday festivities begin at 7pm, with tickets available for $10-$15 online until Thursday, or $20 at the door. Ten percent of all proceeds will benefit Transfernation, a charity helping to end hunger and food waste in New York City.
