Kick-Off Cider Week NYC with Porktoberfest
On Saturday, October 22, the team behind CookOutNYC will kick off Cider Week NYC with Porktoberfest on the Manhattan waterfront, at SolarOne/East River Park. The pork-centric festival will feature over 20 cider makers, craft beers, a live DJ, and dishes from prominent chefs and restaurants in the New York area.
Porktoberfest is organized by Food Karma Projects — a specialty food and craft beverage event company by the NYC-based restaurateur Jimmy Carbone. Chow down on fall meats and vegetables from outdoor grills, helmed by chefs from Jimmy’s No. 43, Fletcher’s Brooklyn BBQ, Delaney BBQ, and many more.
Enjoy all of the autumnal ciders you can handle featuring some of the region’s best: Angry Orchard, Downeast Ciders, Big Apple Cider, and craft beers from Sixpoint and Guinness. Choose between GA tickets (1-4pm) with three hours of all-inclusive eating and drinking or VIP tickets (12-4pm) with an additional hour of feasting. Tickets will be available until the day of the event.
The entrance to Porktoberfest is on 23rd Street. Come hungry and be ready for some serious BBQ!
