Cooking Class: Everything You Need to Know about Roast Turkey!

This Friday, November 18, become the master of your Thanksgiving destiny by learning everything you need to know about cooking the best turkey ever. Class will be held at The Brainery in Brooklyn, a community-driven resource for adult education.

In a turkey demo led by cookbook author and culinary historian Sarah Lohman, you will learn:

  • How to spatchcock. With a little extra prep, your turkey will be perfectly roasted and juicy in a few short hours.
  • How to dry brine. You won’t need to fill your kitchen with giant buckets of brining solution.
  • How to make gravy from scratch. Learn to love giblets.
  • How to carve. It’s your turkey, and it’s your right.

For $25, you’ll learn all these skills and get to taste lots of delicious roast turkey. There will be two sessions on Friday: 5-7pm and 7:45-9:45pm.
