Want cheaper flights? Hack your layovers. Flight itineraries with weird layovers can be significantly cheaper than direct flights, and while you might not initially go for that option, it could save you money in the long run. There’s a lot to consider when using this method — it’s complex, but it can really pay off.

How To Do It: If you’re trying to get from Point A to Point B, consider booking an indirect flight itinerary to Point C with a layover in Point B instead. For example, it’s sometimes cheaper to fly from New York City to Washington, D.C. via Boston than to fly straight to Boston. It seems insane, but the math checks out.

The Bottom Line: You can save a few extra bucks on your travels if you’re willing to book a funky flight itinerary. It’ll feel strange to intentionally missing that final leg of your trip, but hey, whatever works, right? [Swirled]

There are possible reasons why you bruise so easily. You could be more likely to bruise based on your genetics, and if you’re super active, you could just be putting more physical pressure on your body than the average Joe. See what else could be causing you to bruise like a peach. [Swirled]

Did You Know? A lot happens in your body when you cross your legs. When your leg goes numb after a while, your peroneal nerve is being pinched, and when your leg throbs, it means that your blood pressure is spiking due to limited blood flow. Crossing your legs from time to time is harmless, but if you have blood pressure issues, refrain from doing so when you can. [Swirled]
