Target Released Its Own Line Of Low-Calorie, High-Protein Ice Cream

Halo Top fans, get ready. Target rolled out a line of low-calorie high-protein ice cream that might steal you away from your go-to pints. Archer Farms ice cream has between 20 and 22 grams of protein per pint and falls in the mid-300 calorie range.

The new Target line comes in six flavors: cookie dough, chocolate pecan pie, caramel maple bourbon pecan, mini donut, chocolate peanut butter and mint cookies and cream. The Archer Farms brand is only available for in-store purchasing, so you’ll have to make a special trip for these pints.

While Halo Top has vegan flavors, Archer Farms only has dairy ice cream for now. If the high-protein competitor goes over well with Target customers, maybe they’ll show some love for the dairy-free fans in the future. For now, we’ll see if Halo Top has some competition coming its way.
