1. Glowworm Caves, New Zealand

A special species of glowworm make the northern New Zealand caves light up with bioluminescent glitter.

2. Caño Cristales River, Vista Hermosa, Colombia

This river is called “The River of Five Colors” or the “Rainbow River” because you can see red, orange, yellow, green and blue in the water.

3. Rakotzbrücke, Kromlau, Germany

The reflection of Ratokz Bridge creates a perfect circle. It’s called the Devil’s Bridge because when it was built, bridges were considered dangerous.

4. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China

There are more than 3,100 quartzite sandstone rock formations reaching into the sky at this Chinese national forest.

5. Dallol Volcano, Ethiopia

This Ethiopian cinder cone volcano is a colorful mix of salt deposits and magma.

6. Lake Reschen, Italy

An artificial lake flooded this town in the 1930s and now, all that’s visible is the church tower.

7. Litlanesfoss, Iceland

Hexagonal basalt columns surround the waterfall here, but it’s all formed from a giant lava flow.

8. Sigiriya, Sri Lanka

This ancient fortress was built more than 1,500 years ago and it has giant stone claws.
