Fresh Kills Features Sophisticated Cocktails From A Master Mixologist

  • Fresh Kills is the Brooklyn sister bar of Dutch Kills, the elegant cocktail den created by Sasha Petraske. Like Dutch Kills, the menu is full of carefully plotted drinks. Recommended: the Dragon’s Breath (Calvados, dry vermouth, apricot liqueur, hot sauce, pickled walnut)
  • In addition to the standard cocktail menu ($13), divided by options that are “built in the glass over a rock,” “shaken and served straight up,” and “shaken and served down,” the bar offers a selection of low ABV cocktails ($11) for those who prefer something lighter
  • Not only does the menu list the ingredients for each cocktail, but the original source from which it was adopted. Some even date back to the 19th century, like one called My Hope (cognac, port, bitters, cayenne pepper, lemon twist), which was adopted from The Flowing Bowl, created by William Schmidt in 1891
