Emily Features Thin Crust Perfection In Clinton Hill

  • Emily — a cozy Clinton Hill wood-fired pizza joint, by the pizza-loving duo Emily and Matt Hyland — somehow succeeds at everything they do from ridiculously indulgent thin crust pizzas to chicken wings to their glorified Emmy Burger, while using local products and maintaining a seasonally-driven menu
  • This neighborhood pizza haven is addicting. Bring some friends and share a few of Emily’s signature pies, crunchy on the bottom and perfectly soft and gooey on top: the Colony (sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, pickled chili, and honey), the sweetest, cheesiest pie you’ll ever get your hands on, the Emily (mozzarella, pistachios, truffle sottocenere, and honey), the Luca (sauce, buratta, and basil), and of course the Vodka pie
  • It’s rare that a pizza place this impressive could also have an over-achieving burger with a cult-like following across the New York City food scene. The Emmy Burger, a juicy dry-aged beef patty from Fleisher’s, is served between a warm pretzel roll from Tom Cat Bakery, topped with caramelized onions, oozing one-year-old Grafton Vermont Cheddar, and drenched in their orange-hued special Emmy sauce (a housemade sweet buffalo sauce concoction)

Before you make the journey to Emily, keep in mind they serve a limited number of Emmy Burgers per night. The prime time to go would be Sunday during lunch when they have unlimited amounts of this meaty masterpiece. The restaurant does not take reservations
