‘Clear’ Beer Is Here To Challenge All The Other Hazy IPAs Out There

Your pint is getting a massive makeover, making it appealing to IPA lovers and non-beer drinkers alike.

Massachusetts brewer Springdale Beer collaborated with Louisville-based Against the Grain Brewery to come up with a “clear” IPA, which they dubbed Any IPA. The concept, at first, was created as a challenge to the typical hazy New England-style beer craze.

The Any IPA is just about as clear as water. It’s brewed with over four pounds of hops per barrel and has all of the typical New England IPA flavor notes. You can expect a fruity aroma with a light body, high carbonation and a hoppy citrus flavor throughout. This clear IPA has an ABV of 6.5 percent, so you can be sure you’ll still get a buzz, too, despite the lack of color.

According to Untapped, these two breweries came together to answer one simple question — “What if Crystal Pepsi was a New England IPA?” You know, just one of those questions that could only be answered with beer.

This water-like IPA is available either on tap or in cans at the Jack’s Abby Beer Hall and the Springdale Barrel Room in Framingham, Massachusetts. If you’re not in the area, don’t worry — Any IPA is being distributed throughout the rest of Massachusetts, as well as New York.

While the Any IPA might’ve been invented as a joke, you have to admit — it’s pretty brilliant. With its clear color and fruity flavors, this might be your new go-to summer drink.
